What is a BIA?
A Business Improvement Area (BIA) is an association made up of commercial property owners and tenants within a designated area that collaborates with the City of Toronto. The goal is to create vibrant, safe, and competitive business districts that attract shoppers, diners, tourists, and new businesses. By working together, BIAs provide local businesses with the organizational structure and funding needed to drive neighborhood improvements and enhance the overall quality of life in both their communities and the city at large.
