The Liberty Village BIA (LVBIA) is a community-driven, non-profit organization that is committed to improving the experience of our business owners, employees, visitors, members and stakeholders.

THE LIBERTY VILLAGE BIA: CONNECT. CREATE. INNOVATE.

The LVBIA, established in 2001, was the first “campus-style” commercial-based Business Improvement Area in Canada. We proudly represent over 600 businesses and over 11,000 employees, and over 25,000 people call Liberty Village home.

Liberty Village is a thriving community of numerous established innovative and creative companies, a variety of Restaurants and Retailers, and various professional service providers; both local and international. With the BMO Field and the Exhibition as neighbours, we have been supporting their large events for years, and have proudly championed many community-initiated events of our own!

There are 84 Business Improvement Areas in Toronto. The LVBIA is celebrated as a “model” BIA that enhances businesses and property owners of Liberty Village while also creating a safe, well-designed and attractive community.

Liberty Village is a community that is thriving with innovation, creativity, and forward-thinking members and is a place to test new ideas. We are proud to be recognized for our “Green” activities and environmental initiatives.

Among our many community-based events, is our signature “Give Me Liberty” street party. Our street party is held annually every June. The event attracts thousands and is recognized by the City of Toronto as an event of “Community Significance”.

As a member of TABIA (Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas) and the OBIAA (Ontario Business Improvement Area Association), the LVBIA actively advocates on behalf of our property owners, developers and business owner/operators with all levels of government. The Liberty Village BIA was the proud recipient of the TABIA (Toronto Association of Business Improvement Awards in 2019.
